Anti-Bribery Policy
APEX Shipping Services (“APEX”) is committed to conduct all of its shipping service business with honesty, integrity, fairness, mutual respect and belief in building strong sustainable relationships while taking a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption in its business dealings & relationships wherever we operate.
This policy does prohibit hospitality (given and received) to or from third parties. We, at APEX, do not make, and will not accept, facilitation payments or “kickbacks” of any kind. We do not make
contributions to political parties. Any charitable donations other than legal and ethical under local laws and practices is not made.
We uphold and comply by all applicable laws & regulations, and the relevant international best practices, relevant to countering bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate.
We are committed to promulgate and continually improve effective Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) to prevent, detect, report and eliminate bribery and corruption.
This policy provides us a framework for setting, reviewing and achieving Anti-Bribery Objectives.
This Policy applies to all individuals working at all levels within APEX, including managers, officers, directors, employees (whether permanent, fixed -term or temporary), consultants, contractors, trainees, volunteers, interns, agents, sponsors, or any other person associated with us, or any of our subsidiaries or their employees, wherever located.
APEX has assigned and authorized an independent Anti Bribery | Anti Corruption (AB|AC) Officer for ensuring that ABMS conforms to the applicable requirements.
All individuals are encouraged and expected to raise concerns, in the good faith, about any issue or suspicion of malpractice, related to bribery and corruption, at the earliest possible stage, to respective immediate reporting functions and/or to the Anti Bribery | Anti Corruption (AB|AS) Officer without the fear of retaliation.
A breach and non-adherence of this policy by an individual, acting for APEX, is dealt with immediate action, resulting in, immediate dismissal, penal consequences & impositions of penalties/fines (under law) and termination of business relationship, as applicable.
APEX makes this policy publicly available, as documented information, in generally comprehensible language(s), aiming at increasing awareness, and to all individuals as per Bribery Risk Level.
This policy is reviewed annually for its continuing suitability.
